Double, double toil and trouble; Fire burn, and cauldron bubble (well not exactly) …. nonetheless the Residents at LIVIA certainly enjoyed the first festivities of the fall season in our decorated multi-media community room: painting pumpkins to decorate their living areas, listening to spirited, ghostly tunes and munching on seasonal treats.  Staff participated adding to the enthusiasm as we all did the Mash… Monster Mash!

Pumpkin Spiced Doughnuts from our kitchen accompanied by delicious, fragrant Hot Apple Cider warmed everyone’s hearts highlighting the merrymaking! The event was capped off with some yummy treats with no Tricks from our Trick or Treat Station!

Sophie Hudes, Director of Lifestyle Engagement at LIVIA planned the week’s events with her staff. Sophie noted, “Our pumpkin painting party marks the beginning of the holiday season, a very special time at LIVIA as we make new memories with our Residents in a year of many challenges. We are so excited that our Halloween festivities will culminate in our much-anticipated first annual costume contest…. stay tuned to see the winning costumes!”

Happy Halloween from LIVIA!
